Thinking about Dean driving around for what feels like eternity, but could very well be ten minutes. Wind in his hair, Baby by his side.

He’s in heaven. Wow.

Yet there’s a pang of loneliness in his heart. He thinks of ocean deep eyes, a smile that lit up his world, and the kindest heart he knows.

Cas is out here. He knew as much from Bobby. If only I can find him, he thinks.

Drumming his fingers along the dashboard, I’m already dead, no need to drive safely, Dean stares outside at the acres of woods and wild flowers. Cas would love it here, he ponders outloud.

It occurs to him then that maybe Cas can hear him.

“Cas, I don’t know if you can me,” he whispers. Afraid to cry out and be left with his broken heart once more.

“I’m here, in heaven. I’m sorry, I… it took me so long to try praying to you, but I was scared. If you’re out there, I’m coming to find you. We… we can make a home up here, together, you and me. I… I l-love you too Cas, of course I love you.”

The miles roll by. Curving through the golden trees and misty mountains. He feels the anxiety rolling around inside of his stomach with every heartbeat and turn.

Should I pray to Jack? The kid will know where Cas is, right?

He presses down on the brake, at a familiar ruffle. And not just any ruffle, but that of Cas’ wings.

“Hello Dean.” The words vibrate through him, sending tears rolling down his cheeks as he turns to look at his angel.

Cas is sitting next him, wearing a black trenchcoat and an apple green shirt, head tilted as he smiles at Dean.

“Cas,” he whispers back like a pray, holding on to faith and the hope of forever.

Follow Forever 3.0

So basically I thought with the year ending and everyone summing 
up pretty much everything, I'd make something to thank all of the 
people that have made my year on tumblr amazing. I started off 
with about 5 followers this year and I have met sooo many
